Probably you’ve heard of blogs, and this is one of those, and I am starting it right here in the year 2026.

Recently I’ve found myself looking for a place to record my thoughts on the books I’m reading, the games I’m playing, the movies I’m watching. A place to share more niche stuff, too, in the spirit of that line familiar to readers of John Crowley's Little, Big: "The things that make us happy make us wise." For me that could include RPG writing, interactive fiction, fountain pens, and maybe even some recent adventures in half-frame film photography (because I didn't have enough hobbies).

A place like, oh yes, a blog.

Writing remains the best tool I have for deepening my understanding of the things that matter to me. Paper Mazes is what I'm calling this particular attempt. We'll see what shape it takes: stuff to get lost in, hopefully, and maybe a thread to pull through the winding corridors. Thanks for joining me as I find my way.
